…and Normal Life Resumes

Two Thanksgiving feasts, prepared in 3 days, leftovers packed away, and two birthdays celebrated… What a whirlwind pace we’ve kept up, this holiday weekend.

The tree is up and decorated, and all the football games have been watched.  Time to start preparing for the upcoming work week, and everything that goes with it.  Homework needs to be finished, lunches need to be packed, kids need to be put to bed.

Then my loving wife and I get some time, to rest, and remember all the moments that mattered, this holiday weekend.

No matter how busy your life, always remember to take time, just to enjoy the good times. You may not have as much time as you think.

This is the lesson I learned from my stroke.

As We Prepare to Give Thanks….

On the day before Thanksgiving, some of us are scurrying to complete travel.

Some of us are preparing the meal that is to come, and others, God bless their hearts and lives, are face to face with conflict, overseas, performing a vital duty for their country.

Agree or disagree with the policies that put them there, they are a fine example of this nation’s best.

May they be safe for this Thanksgiving, and home safe and sound, as soon as is possible.
